Angkasa, established on May 12, 1971, represents the cooperative movement across Malaysia. It emerged from the suggestion of the Second Congress of Cooperation, inaugurated by Malaysia's second Prime Minister, YAB Tun Abdul Razak Hussein. Elevated as the apex cooperative body for Malaysia's cooperative movement, ANGKASA's declaration was officially gazetted on May 23, 1996. The brand exists to unify and advocate for the interests and development of the cooperative movement nationally and internationally. ANGKASA is committed to driving the socio-economic sustainability of the cooperative movement towards globalization, focusing on empowering networks, cultivating entrepreneurship, and strengthening cooperative governance and identity. As a representative body, it aims for the integration of all cooperatives in Malaysia, safeguarding their principles and facilitating their operations.
